This project explores the architectural expression of emotions elicited by the pursuit of material values in modern society, a tension between high and low entropy shaped by negative and positive emotional states.
In our modern lives, we are constantly navigating between negative states that reflect disconnection from meaning and the self, while positive states offer a return to our essence through play, joy, and introspection. Guided by values of human-centered design, emotional awareness, and societal relevance, this work seeks to create a spatial experience that embodies these emotional contrasts, highlighting the connection between emotion, architecture, and the human experience.

The core spatial form is inspired by the infinity loop, representing the perpetual interplay between positive and negative emotions. Vertically oriented, it guides visitors through an embodied emotional journey, with the upright form echoing the number 8, a symbol of prosperity in Chinese culture and a metaphor for the material values that drive modern life in the design.
